Gita (verse 13,chapter 15) says "having become the sapid moon, i nourish all herbs", and the english playwright Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet alludeing to moon as "moist star" , in his Winter's Tale he alluded "the watery star"...well ... well... now where do we go from the moment when indian satellite "Chandrayan" gave first conclusive hints of water on moon, our chanda mama. Will India have/claim 'first rights", establishing the right equation between the water scarce earth and the watery moon?...not so easy. My guess is that the temptation to tap the moon water "aquq soma" is more likely to be irresistible. My another guess is that pepsi/coke etc who have already been given 'river rights' in india will be the first speediest prospectors of aqua soma. they have a history to learn /rehearse from, of prospecting...the eldorado/the wild west.
One mechanism exists...the way the southern edge of out earth's southern ice cap belongs to none (treaty antarctic1961), will lunar southern edge (with water) can also be saved from exploitation...free enterprise will not like this .
Better still, will "victorious " humans ensure that the earth's child satellite continues to belong to itself, BUT visited by humans ON HER TERMS?
How is the moon to set her own terms AMIDST ALL THIS ?
